Who it's for
The Rampage is built for the heavier trades. Groundworkers kneeling on hardcore and kerbs all day. Carpenters and joiners on first fix, roofing and decking, who want screws and nails within reach. Bricklayers, labourers and general builders who are on their knees and up and down scaffold. It also suits electricians on first fix and plumbers on new builds, where a holster full of clips and fittings saves trips back to the van.
The holsters come off. That is the point. Clip them on for the heavy days, take them off for the domestic jobs, and you have one trouser that does both.
Fabric and build
The main fabric is 60% cotton, 38% polyester and 2% elastane. Cotton for comfort through a long day, polyester for strength and shape retention through repeated washing, and 2% elastane so you can squat, kneel and climb without the trouser fighting you. Soft enough to wear all day, tough enough to take the job.
Reinforcement is 100% polyamide Cordura on the high wear zones: the thighs, the knee pad pockets, the back pockets and the removable nail pockets themselves. Holster pockets take more punishment than any other part of a work trouser, with screws, chisels and pencils going in and out all day, so reinforcing them matters. For more on why Cordura is used where it is, read our Cordura work trousers guide.
The full pocket set:
- Reinforced removable nail (holster) pockets
- 2 side pockets
- 1 thigh pocket with a reinforced mobile pocket
- 1 reinforced front thigh pocket
- 1 reinforced ruler pocket
- 1 knife holder and 1 hammer loop
- 2 reinforced back pockets
- Reinforced knee pad pockets that take standard knee pad inserts
There is a soft-touch elasticated waistband, a hidden front button and reflective prints. The knee pad pockets hold standard inserts, but the trouser and pad combination is not certified to EN 14404, so check your pads if your site requires certified knee protection.
Fit and sizing
Every Tauro trouser is cut slim through the thigh and the leg. That means no spare fabric flapping round your knees, nothing catching on ladder rungs or joists, and a trouser that looks right if you have to talk to a customer on the way out. Waist sizes run from 30" to 40", in a 32" regular leg, and they come in black only.
The Rampage runs true to size but slim, so if you like more room through the seat, size up. If you are between sizes, or you are used to baggy fit workwear, go up one on the waist. The size guide has the measurements, and free returns mean getting it wrong costs you nothing.
How it compares
The Outlaw (£55.99) is the same fabric and cut without holster pockets, for cleaner domestic work. The Ranger (£74.99) steps up to a 98% cotton, 2% elastane fabric and the fullest pocket set we make, including a zipped pocket and key ring loop. The Rampage sits in the middle and is the one most of our customers choose. See the full breakdown in our Outlaw vs Rampage vs Ranger comparison.
Delivery and returns
UK delivery is free on every order with Royal Mail Tracked 48, and next day delivery is £5.99 if you need them for Monday. Returns are free for 30 days. Wear them round the house, check the fit when you crouch and kneel, and if they are not right, send them back and it costs you nothing.

Questions about the Rampage
Do the Rampage trousers run small?
They are cut slim through the thigh and leg, not small. If you are between sizes or used to baggy fit workwear, go up one on the waist. Returns are free for 30 days if the fit is not right.
What are the Rampage trousers made from?
The main fabric is 60% cotton, 38% polyester and 2% elastane, with 100% polyamide Cordura reinforcement on the high wear areas.
Do the Rampage trousers have holster pockets?
Yes. The Rampage has reinforced removable nail pockets, so you can clip them on for heavy days and take them off for domestic work.
Are the knee pad pockets EN 14404 certified?
No. The knee pad pockets take standard knee pad inserts, but the trouser and pad combination is not certified to EN 14404. If your site requires certified knee protection, check your pads against that requirement.
