Three things decide whether a pair survives six months of daily wear: the fabric, where the reinforcement sits, and the cut. Everything else is marketing.
Baggy legs catch on rungs, ridge tiles and the corner of a joist. A slimmer leg keeps fabric off your boot and out of the way, and you stop standing on your own hem in the rain.
Knees, thighs and back pockets get 100% polyamide Cordura. It takes abrasion far better than standard polyester and holds its strength when it's soaked.

I really like these trousers. As soon as I opened them I could tell they were of great quality, made from robust but stretchy fabric.

Tauro is a small team of ex-tradesmen in Redditch. We spent years in trousers that went at the crotch by month four, bagged at the knee and caught on every ladder rung.
So we only make trousers. Every revision goes into three styles rather than a catalogue, and because we sell direct, when something isn't right you're emailing the people who change the pattern.

Close through the thigh and leg without pulling when you squat. All three Tauro trousers have 2% elastane in the base fabric so they move with you. If you're between sizes, or coming from loose-fit workwear, size up on the waist.
Outlaw if you don't want holster pockets. Rampage if you want holsters you can take off. Ranger if you carry the most kit and want Cordura in four wear zones. All three share the same slim cut.

Inside out at 30°C, with no fabric softener. Softener coats the fibres and traps dust, and hot washes wear out the elastane that gives a slim trouser its recovery. Air dry rather than tumble.
